04:12 pm: Scheduled!
Well, I have the movers and laminate people scheduled and the painter told me he was 95.9% sure he could fit me in when I needed (they all said something like that -- the condo is so small they can do it between regular big jobs!) so I left him a message.

The conjunctivitis was much better today but I had to go in and do a lab anyway, so I saw the NP who agreed that it was much better and would go away on its own. I picked up snackies and kitty litter at PetSmart and came home to do the scheduling. Tomorrow I see the nephrologist and I bet she'll want to add some meds.

I went to PetSmart today too. Buddy (the little dog) and I bought cat packets. Happy Solstice.

Thanks! Everybody I said Happy Midsummer to yesterday looked at me like I was nuts.

*grin* Driving back from Bobby Beads on 28th St, (a fairly major one way) I had a bad moment when a bike rider approached from the left and suddenly decided to turn and cross to the right side of 28th. We missed her of course, and Faun called out "Joyous Solstice" in a sweet tone. The woman's reaction was comical. She started to swear and flip us off, when she processed that we were not actually swearing at her which is what she clearly expected. She wasn't sure how to take it. Other than that, everyone I said it to nodded politely and "same to you"'d it. Maybe it's part of being Minnesotan, to politely agree with strangers' polite strangenesses.

I'm prejudiced about beadbuying in the Twin Cities. I've been to Bobby Beads, but I buy from Stormcloud Trading Post (http://www.beadstorm.com) because it's owned by a friend.

Here in the South, middle-aged women are supposed to be Christian. I'm actually an atheist, but I like celebrating the seasons.
