03:10 pm: Shall We Dance?
Okay, I'm a sucker for musicals and dance movies! When this first came out it sounded okay, but I really loved it. Richard Gere is bored and sees Jennifer Lopez in the window of a dancing studio. He's drawn to it and is soon learning. His wife, played by Susan Sarandon, begins to suspect something and hires a private detective. While the plot was very nice and well-acted, the dancing was fabulous! I could feel myself making those moves (is it better to have danced and lost the ability than never to have danced at all?) even while sitting in the recliner.

Shall we dance? Shall we dance? Shall we dance!?

If you liked it, it might be worth tracking down the Japanese original (same title).

I adored the Japanese one. I haven't seen the American one yet (no reason, I juest haven't). When I do see it, my big question is going to be: what did they replace the intensely Japanese-culture situations with? How did they make it work?

I watched both Japanese and American versions and the American one completely lacks the intensely Japanese-culture situations. I think it is being replaced by the two very famous leading actors instead :)

Unfortunately, my Netflix queue has hit 500 and I have to watch more movies before I can put more on the queue. I'll add this to my written list, though, thanks!
