I Cut Loki's Claws!

I figured I'd start with the post so I'd get it in, and I made a list of everything I wanted to post about.

I got three of Loki's claws cut out here in the living room and about three times that many scratches. When I was reading in bed, I decided I'd just try, even though I wasn't clothed, and I got the duvet over most of him and I leaned on him and cut them! He looked very scared, but didn't try to hurt me. I hope that works next time. He started loving me again in about 15 minutes.

You folks probably already know that Ray Bradbury died Tuesday. Michael Dirda, a local fan as well as Pulitzer Prize winner, wrote about Bradbury in the WashPost. The Post has a long list of other posts about him.

I managed to sweep the porch yesterday, but I had to keep sitting down and that was longer than it took to porch. I wanted to have it free so it would be obvious to the idiot upstairs that she can't just dump things down from her balcony either through the lines in the bottom or throwing it under. If she does it again, I can show it to her.

Our management signed up with a new waste company and they gave us new dumpsters. They have no side openings, just two heavy plastic flaps on the top. The top of the dumpster is just a bit higher than my shoulder, so I've emailed our manager. Those violate ADA.

We had another little thunderstorm today and when it stopped, the parking lot fumed for 20 minutes and then was dry in another 20 minutes.
