10:31 pm: Probably a Cold

I did go right back to bed after I posted yesterday and was asleep immediately and for 3 hours, waking up just before 10pm. I'd already set the machine to watch Parking Wars so I let that go and came back here to read LJ and play solitaire. I watched the show while I ate (had to have two mini babybels to finish requirements) and then read the paper. I got to bed to read at 4am and stopped at 6am. I got the rest of today's paper in and went back to bed and was awake off and on for a very long time. I also sweated all night -- ran out of cool dry pillow parts -- and woke up with a sore throat, swollen lymph nodes under my neck, and a right earache, no fever, so I think this is a cold. Since Monday, I've only seen three McDonald's people and I doubt I got it from them. I emailed my primary to tell her and ask if she thinks it's a cold.

I didn't get up until 7pm, but I'm not sleepy. I don't know if that's good (read the paper) or bad (get up late tomorrow). I have three timed things this week, the closest being 3:30pm on Tuesday with the nephrologist, so I hope I get closer to the right time.

Junie really loves the sparkle balls, but loses them like crazy. So far, I've found all the lost ones, but I was too tired to do that last night and I gave her a yellow one and gave a purple one to Loki. I thought he would just play with it on the bed and abandon it when it rolled off, but last night, he actually got off after it and played with it about two minutes!

A very funny political cartoon.

Sorry to hear about the cold, hope you'll get over it quickly.
How nice that your heat wave is over. Here, it's finally beginning to warm up (not that I'm complaining about the cool weather (much)).
Take good care,
Doris

Oh, yes, it's really great out here now. Of course in a couple weeks, it'll get really hot again and last a couple of months.
