Allison, my sister-in-law, asked me why I was so good at computers and I told her, I know lots of people who are better than I am at computers. She asked if Rick and I inherited it and we told her in unison "No!" Our folks have/had no mechanical or electronic skills. My father and stepmother once took their clothes to a laundry to wash them until I came down to fix the washer.
They brought me a card Kathleen had made, and Allison brought me a Billy Graham tract with lots of bits circled and underlined.
I got a picture of them -- Allison, then Kathleen, then Rick:
and I showed them pictures of my cousin Lisa's kids, plus the picture of Gramps that my cousin Lori sent. They weren't very interested in the cat pictures. They do, however, have a bantam rooster & hen and hope for eggs this spring.
