Review of Jo Walton's Among Others by Elizabeth Hand

I usually just come bring the paper in this time of morning and go to sleep, but the WashPost mentioned the Among Others review would be today. Across the top of the "Style" section, there's "“Among Others” is a love letter to the literature of the fantastic and to SF fandom".

The review is not completely positive; however, I would say that she loves Jo's abilities but thinks the story itself is not strong.

She says "Too often Walton preaches to the literary fangirl choir" and talks about all the books. She provides a George Bernard Shaw quote that she believes would be a better motto for the book.

I disagree with a lot of the negative comments. Then again, I am a literary fangirl.
