Pre-Loading the Van

Last night I read the paper and got to bed to read at 2am. I read until 5am and then came back out to work on two big cardboard boxes to go to the transfer station's cardboard dumpster tomorrow. One wasn't bad -- it was actually two boxes glommed together -- but the other was a very thick cardboard and it took me forever. The size of the openings in the dumpster meant that I couldn't just slide it diagonally, I had to cut it into two pieces and then fold the larger piece, too. I got to bed at 6am and got up at 3pm.

I took that cardboard out to the van so I just have the smaller boxes with even smaller boxes to take out tomorrow in the rolling cart. I've had the second part of yesterday's dinner and I expect it to keep me full, like the first half did.

While I was taking the big boxes apart, Junie was up in the crenellations looking forlorn. I went over and petted and kissed her and told her it was okay -- there was one box she really likes staying and we'll be getting another larger box soon.
