The handyman who is here turns out to be Asatru, fond of Irish songs & pubs, and bipolar. He's doing a good job, and assuming everything holds up, I'd hire him again.
I've refilled the birdfeeder, I think the squirrels were ready to eat the milk-jug plastic of the feeder. I'm planning on taking the trash & recycling out when he's done.

We actually spent a lot of time talking while he worked. It started out with him humming "There is a Tavern in the Town" and I told him I hadn't heard that in a while and he likes Irish music while I like that as well as other folk-like music. Then he was replacing the flange under the toilet in my bathroom and he had to go through the corner of my bedroom and noticed all the SF. He's a big Heinlein fan, Podkayne is his favorite book. He noticed the shelf of Bibles I have (these are personal Bibles, the ones I carried around for the first 20 years of my life and they have memories beyond the content) and commented and I told him I was atheist, that those were from my childhood and I said that I knew a lot of people with different religions and mentioned Asatru. He gave me a strange look and started to pull something from under his shirt and I said "Thor's Hammer?" and there it was on a chain. (I like Doug's hammer better.) It was very odd to have someone with so many interests that glanced off mine.
