Last night I watched TV and tapes and then read the paper, getting to bed to read at 3:30am. I read until 6am and set the alarm for 2pm. I got up then and took the animal book back to the library and got gas. Then I drove south a bit to see more changing leaves. It was cooler today and we have a frost watch tonight, but tomorrow is expected to be in the low 70s.
I skimmed the front page of today's WashPost Sports section, and there's an interesting article about high school logos. Apparently lots of high schools steal logos from colleges and professional teams. I don't know why they wouldn't want their own logo. I just checked the two high schools where I went, and one still has the same individual logo and the other has a new logo that is very spiffy and doesn't look like anybody else's.
It's been 19 years since Anita Hill testified about Clarence Thomas's sexual harassment. There were a few folks who agreed at the time, and more after, particularly about the pubic hair and the Coke can. Now Thomas's wife has called Hill and asked her to apologize. It's clear Hill was accurate, so his wife is crazy to do this. In fact, his girlfriend at the time of the nomination, Lillian McEwen, has now come out agreeing with Hill. She wasn't called to testify because Kerry was looking only for business/political acquaintances. She has a memoir coming out; I wonder what that will be like.
