The Cold Has Advanced

I ended up sleeping until 5pm because I feel so awful. Junie insisted at some point that I give her the pillpocket, which I did. I think I'm not doing much today.

I was in bed so long today that I don't know if the cats are better -- I'll have to wait and see when they use the litterboxes.

Some folks claimed a Virginia license plate, 14CV88, was racist, particularly with the Sons of Confederate Veterans (heck, I'd qualify for Daughters -- I had ancestors on both sides) license plate, the Confederate Flag, and the painted back of his pickup truck showing the burning World Towers and "Everything I know about Islam I learned on 9/11." He claims the license isn't racist, but the state still told him he had to get another license. His employer, VDOT, for whom he drives a dump truck, told him he had to get the mural off the back of his pickup if he wants to park in their lot. And apparently there's a photo on the web (and with this article) that shows the truck in a handicapped spot -- he claims he had motorcycle injuries but can work. (That's certainly possible, but I expect DMV will be checking that out.)
