06:30 pm: March of the Penguins
This movie follows Emperor Penguins over a year of life (or not) in Antarctica. It was brilliantly filmed and Morgan Freeman was an excellent narrator, but I couldn't help feeling sorry for the penguins. They seem to have almost no happiness or time to play. All their life is spent trying to stay alive, and keep their chicks alive.

I thought a lot of the close-ups were just camera tricks, but the credits show them filming right by the penguins.

It was an intersting movie to watch, but very very sad.

Definitely it's a hard life. I remember that movie when it came out, how glad I was that I wasn't a penguin. The movieis beautiful, too. Just really lets you feel that cold and worry.

I also remember the right wing holding up penguins as a model of marital fidelity, but it turns out penguins cheat and there are gay penguins too, so as usual, the animal model proves nothing.

Yeah, it almost makes you wonder why they still live?
