This is a great movie -- a mostly autobiographical story by Ruben Santiago-Hudson starring S. Epatha Merkerson as Rachel "Nanny" Crosby. Nanny took in boarders who all have their own stories about their lives and what's happened to them. That's how a child Nanny took in learned to live. There's a lot of 50's black music including some marvelous jump blues and dancing to the jump blues. Highly recommended.
