04:25 pm: Batman Begins
This is the story of how Bruce Wayne becomes Batman. It's modern, not comics, not silly. His folks die, he goes to jail, he gets out and trains as a ninja (I thought that part was a little weird) and then he goes back to Gotham to save the city. In this version, his ex-gf knows who he is, and they don't become romantic. This is a much more logical version, in general, than most of the Batman movies. I liked all but the ninja bit, and Morgan Freeman was excellent as the Magic Negro.

And let's not forget Rutger Hauer as the evil industrialist.

I'm not sure what you mean by "not comics"—it's actually very much influenced in its sensibility by the comics of the eighties and later.

Right, but it has real people. Maybe "not graphic TV" or "not anime"? Oh! Or "not cartoon"?

Aha! I'd say "live action", or "not animated".
