08:30 pm: Things I Forgot to Mention Recently
1. Some of my arm skin was raw when I got up this morning and the rheumatologist says I have to count just standing under the shower as washing with the non-soap and only do any of it every other day. Won't help with all the extra sweating (which she didn't know what to do about, either).

2. My friend Doris, who comments here, has opened an Etsy shop for her fabulous bags.

3. A local artist's newest piece is a particle accelerator. I wonder if he gives tours.

4. I can't believe that anybody would consider "walling" to be an acceptable way to get information from detainees.

Chafing? I have a solid anti-blister/chafing stick I got at Dunham's Sports ("BodyGlide").

Of course if it's actually caused by the shower, that won't help.

No, my skin is just too damaged. The second renal failure wasn't diagnosed for at least nine months (I knew something new was wrong, but the doctor wouldn't say so) and I gained about 300 pounds of water weight. When I got a new doctor, he tested to the symptoms, and found an experimental medication that made all that water rush off in a few weeks, leaving me covered with stria -- very thin skin.

I read this with great interest-- thanks.

I applaud Mr. Sanborn's achievement. However, I have more than one friend who has built a machine of comparable energy, without getting slobbered over by a Washington Post art reporter.

Well, he's a fairly well-known artist and I suspect the reporter is not as knowledgable in physics as he is in art.

Thank you for the plug, Marilee.
The skim problem doesn't sound so good and I hope there's a way to make it better.
