I had enough time to leave the house early, at 9am, and had breakfast at McDonald's. It's been years since I've been up that early and I do believe that their potato pattie thing is the best fast food ever. Nice to have orange juice, too. I dropped a book at the library, two DVDs at the post office, and got gas before I headed out to Burke. I read most of the rest of the WashPost while waiting for the nephrology NP. We went over the labs for a while -- that was interesting, she likes them printed out as numbers and I like to look at them online as colored graphs -- and decided to stop the lasix. It was that doctor who first said "enlarged heart" who prescribed it, and since my heart is okay, I don't need it, and my glucose is higher than we'd like. I see the doctor in a couple of months -- double-booked. The assistant said the problem isn't that we're short of nephrologists, it's that everybody who sees my nephrologist once wants her permanently.
I got home about 12:30 and posted so people would know I was sleeping, and slept from 1pm to 5pm. I'll probably sleep early tonight.
