05:14 pm: Trial Pants
The local seamstress came by today so I could try the trial pants. She had to make a few marks for adjustments and then went home with the fabric and an invitation for her 20's daughter to come to bookgroup because she reads SF and does RPG. She usually works Saturday, but it can't hurt to let her know.

I dropped a CD off at the post office and poured more Petzyme on the floor of the front of the van. I thought I'd gotten rid of the smell from when Spirit peed in her cage (and some came out) while we were on the way home from the dental vet, but when it's warm and the van sits for a couple days, I can still smell it.

That's a tough odor

to kill off. On the other hand, once upon a time a six-pack of beer bottles broke the back seat of my Grand Am. That was ghastly too, and you could smell it on a hot summer day even unto the end of the car's days.

I was definitely smelling Petzyme today, and the carpet was still damp -- my glasses fogged when I opened the door -- so I hope this works. I'm not going out tomorrow; I'll have to see what it's like on the way to the bookgroup Saturday.

You also might, on a really hot day that you're sure it is not going to rain, leave your windows open a crack. It will dry it out and may cook most of the odor out.
