Because of Winn-Dixie
This is a somewhat saccharine kids movie: A girl and her pastor father are transferred to another small town. Her father is very depressed and when she finds and brings home a dog, which she names Winn-Dixie after the store in which she found him, tells her she can't keep him. The girl meets different people in the town because of the dog, her father opens up, and a party at the end brings them all together, but Winn-Dixie disappears. Will he come back? I have to say, I'm not sure I cared.
