She ordered a generic Fosamax -- not the one I should have, but the only one on the Medicare formulary. The one she ordered is supposed to be taken every week and has a fancy delivery system to make sure you take it that way. I'm going to take it every two weeks. She trusts me to do it, and I'll set it up by putting the dates on the cardboard, but it is a little weird that only the one dosage is in the formulary. I have enough Vitamin D in my multivitamin.
I do a batch of labs every two weeks indefinitely and see the nurse practitioner in two months on a day that the nephrologist is also there, so they can consult (they're short of nephrologists -- I waited an hour in the exam room to be seen) and was put on the wait list for her for four months.
Before I left today, I put part of a can of wet food on a dish and made sure I covered all of it with the innards of a pouch and when I got home, it was all eaten, so I'll do that tonight and see who's eating how much of it and continue/adjust on that basis.
I hurt like crazy today, probably from sitting up for so long in a straight chair, so I'll be taking time in the recliner as well as online and narcotics so I can go to library bookgroup tomorrow.
