12:29 pm: Still Nauseated
I'm having a lot of trouble eating still. My bookgroup leader/friend is dropping by today to bring me the David Drake book for next month and Janet is coming to help with some things in the condo.

I called Kaiser to make sure I was right and only had to pay one hospital copay a year, no matter how many hospitals and admissions, so I'm down to $300 total now.

The PT guy is coming again later this afternoon.

My hands are shaking a lot.

Are you taking any medications that could cause nausea or shaky hands?

The PT just left and he says it's that I haven't used my hands for more than three weeks. He says the muscles need to be synchronized and gave me some exercises. I had this nausea problem the last stroke, but Janet came today and brought canned fruit and I managed to eat a can while we talked. That's how I got better before -- eating while doing something else.

It's wonderful to see you back! I was thinking of you while you were in hospital. I hope that the nausea and shaky hands are something that will pass off quickly.

I'm glad to hear you're out of the hospital; you gave us quite a scare!

Bummer about the nausea; I hope that goes away soon.

Oh ick, nausea really sucks! Maybe you can eat while reading online. That seems to be how I spend most of my time these days

I'm sure your PT guy is right, you just need to get used to things again. Still, it must be frustrating to have to deal with the shaking and especially the nausea. Can you read or watch TV while you eat? That's what I did many, many years ago when I had to get up early to go to work and could barely get down breakfast.
Hope you'll feel better really soon,
Doris

I'm trying to eat while doing things, but I'm kind of blank and not doing things.
