Mars Crossing by Geoffrey A. Landis

This is the story of the third expedition to Mars; they hope to be the first expedition to live. There are six people in the crew and most of them have secrets. Landis gives us their backgrounds intermixed with what's happening on the expedition. Disaster happens and they must start an impossible trip to get to a rocket that might take them back to Earth. I found it rather predictable, but still interesting to read.
