Cold and Hot
It was cold enough today that I wore tights under my pants plus a turtleneck and two sweaters on top. For the outside part, I had on my hat and connected scarf with the scarf over my nose most of the time, as well as my coat and gloves.
We didn't discuss our book for very long in bookgroup, and we weren't kind to it. We did go on and talk about a lot of other things and I gave Sarah the necklace that was part of our bargain. Afterwards, we went to a Chinese place most of us hadn't been and I found that once again, I'm better at spicy hot than most people. When my Stir Fried Chicken with Spicy Capsicum -- Dark meat and bell dried peppers sautéed with scallions, ginger, garlic and chili peppers -- came out, the people on both sides of me plus one beyond commented that the dish cleared their sinuses. I just smelled the chicken, not spices. I thought it had a mild tingling on my tongue and tasted very good. I brought about half home.
And now I'm doing the never-ending laundry.
