02:49 am: The Merchants' War by Charlie Stross
This is the fourth book in The Merchant Princes. The others, reviewed, are: The Family Trade, The Hidden Family, and The Clan Corporate.

We left the last book with the explosion at the royal palace and that's where we start in this one. Miriam manages to escape to world two and evade capture until she is halfway across the country with the assistance of Burgeson. There, Brill kills the captors and rescues her. Other plot threads involve Huw trying to change the knot pattern to find other worlds to worldwalk to and what he finds there, plus the Pretender's assault on the worldwalkers to solidify his throne. He may be a Pervert, but he knows what he's doing.

We are, once again, left in the middle of a story so I will be eagerly awaiting the mmpb of the next book, The Revolution Business. It will be a while, since the hardcover is coming out in April! Still highly recommended, although you may want to buy now and read when the last/sixth book is published.

I've got this one now and both you and AJ recommend it, so I'm trying to move it up the reading list.

I think AJ has only read the first book, Family Trade. I'll email this, too, since you won't get the LJ notification.
