When this second book came up from SFBC, I decided to get it and see how it went, since some of the bookgroup guys like Zahn a lot. This is a much better book. Again, it's a train mystery on the Quadrail, but someone was killed quickly this time, which gave the agent the start of a story that ends up with energy weapons. There's an intelligence agent who spends much of his time in the way, mostly because he can't be told the truth, and a rich young woman who attracts the agent. There's a lot of twists and turns as the mystery proceeds. I stayed up later than usual last night to finish this one. Highly recommended. I'm reading the last of the trilogy starting tonight.
