The Local Election News
All I did today was take a DVD to the post office. I did swing by my precinct to see if there were lines and there weren't, but it's raining/drizzling today and the Republican volunteers (50 feet from the poll) had a tent while the Democrats were dealing with umbrellas. However, the news reports that almost all precincts in the DC Metro area had long lines when they opened, calmed a bit during the day, and are starting to have long lines again. In DC, a 97-year-old black woman voted for the president for the first time, and they brought her ballot to the car (a lot of the DC polls are in places with steps).
