Concrete Tomorrow!

Marcos just called and asked if they could do it tomorrow, which works well for me. I was going to stay in anyway, and it will be done by about 4pm, so walkable by 4am Friday and I don't need to leave for the nephrologist until 1pm.

I didn't quite get to bed as early as I'd've liked last night, but I got up at 2pm. I took the trash and recycling out, deposited some checks, and then went to see Luke. He wasn't there! I asked at the desk and one person knew he had had therapy that morning, but after a few more people, I found out he had a post-op appointment today for the surgery yesterday. I knew about the surgery, but not the appointment. I settled in and listened to his jazz for a bit and then his daughter and son-in-law brought him in. He can already see a little bit better, and there should be more improvement over the next few days! I hope it's enough that he's more confident walking, although it's not expected to get to where he could drive again. We talked a bit and then I came home.
