05:35 pm: More Owies and Dream
I had to give up last night and take pain meds at 7:30pm and nap for three hours. This morning I had a hard time getting out of bed. I just need to get the things that are/were on this shelf unit done by tomorrow night because I want the cleaning lady to be able to get to the counters and stovetop on Wednesday.

I dreamed last night that I was with friends, but I'd notice that one then another had masks on and when I asked them to take them off, they would, but there would be more masks, and more, and more.

Is any of the pain in your back? I ask, as my doctor told me off last week. If you have back pain, you must take adequate pain relief. As this counters common sense - if it hurts, don't mask the pain so you can not hurt it more - I was a bit shocked.

He explained that if you are in back pain, you cause muscle spasms in other areas, which causes more back pain. So, if you are in back pain, it's really important to take the pain killers.

I've been doing as he says, and my back is getting better. Who'd've'thunk.

No, my back is usually fine. I have gout in my hands and feet and when I use either a lot, I have a lot of pain. That's why I don't cook and don't clean. I can't take OTC pain meds, so whatever I take makes me loopy and usually makes me sleep and I don't like being loopy. With gout, you're not affecting other parts of your body, it's just the joints that hurt or don't. I have a high pain threshold, so if I do have to take pain meds, I usually wait until before bed. When I have to take them in the middle of the day, I really hurt a lot.
