12:30 am: Bad LJ Again!

I have no memory of Thursday night (now you see why I do this)*, but I did get close to the end of the book. I got up at 2pm on Friday and finished reading Sunday's paper. A neighbor called -- she's bipolar, has cancer, and is a cat lady -- for a ride to the ER. She was having some problems and her boyfriend was out of town until later. I took her there and stayed until the doctors said it was one of her medications and she would have to stay while they tried some changes. Her boyfriend came in about 5pm and I make sure things were okay, the boyfriend had my phone number, and came home.

09:38 pm: I Cleaned the Microwave!

While I was reading LJ, I got up and did small things, but the microwave, which hasn't been cleaned in two years, was a bit bigger. Plus, the instructions didn't work with just wiping stuff out, so I used a scrubber first, then the paper towels. I washed the round part and now the microwave is perfect. I had two days to read of LJ and that lasted long enough that I planned to read just a bit of a paper and then finish the book. I was tired enough that I decided to skip the paper and finish the book. However, I kept reading the same page and gave up and went to sleep at 6am. I woke up at 3:45pm and fed the cats, watched "Meet the Press" and then started over here.

I don't think I'm going to get Spirit's litterbox done today -- it's nice and quiet except all the toilet flushing. I need to get some paper shredded and take it out on Thursday -- all the weather sites say it will be the 80s from Thursday to Tuesday, so I have plenty of time except getting mail and putting the Amazon box in one of the UPS drop boxes (behind the credit union).

A WashPost columnist said "What have we learned from the narrowly averted debt-ceiling crisis? I don’t know about you, but what I’ve learned is that all those asteroid movies were a crock. And “Independence Day,” too."

An allergist says that there really aren't any hypoallergenic pets.
