When I got offline, I debated watching a DVD or reading the paper. I decided that reading would be better first and then I could decide if I wanted to read the paper after the late news. I finished the paper before the late news and watched that, and then went to bed to read before midnight. I was very sleepy at 2:30am and put the book away, thinking I'd probably read later. When I woke up at 5am, I just brought the paper in and watched some of the early news and got back to bed at 6am. I slept until 2:30pm, with the hot flashes.
Today was supposed to be in the 60s, but the high was 46F and it's been rainy. I put my winter coat on and took the cardboard to the transfer station, backing the van up close to the cardboard dumpster. I got the box parts to the right size to go in, which was good. Then I went to get money for next week and picked up mail on the way in. Some meds, but nothing exciting.
The Potomac (and lots of other rivers and streams) flooded earlier this week because of all the rain. There's an area in Georgetown on the Potomac that is just above the water level and they have water gates (yes, that's where the name came from) to put up and save the property from water. Well, there's new management, and they didn't put the gates up. Pretty much all the businesses are in a class suit to get what they need to replace what they've lost.
There's nothing to watch on TV tonight but I expect to get offline earlier and will watch a DVD as well as read the paper.
