Still Pain, Snow Tomorrow

Last night I watched TV and read the paper, getting to bed by 12:30am. I finished the book at 3am and pulled the next book on the to-read pile. I had forgotten it was an anthology; I bought it in 2001. I read the first story and then when the paper came just before 4am, I came out to get it. I once again read more about the Giffords story before I went to bed and slept at 5am. I set the alarm for 1pm but turned it off and slept until 2:30pm.

I got groceries today and boy, the handicapped spots were full. A woman pointed out a place at the top of the next row, though, and that was just as close to the door, so I smiled, waved, and pulled in.

My lower right back really hurts -- when I turn, when I breathe, when I bend in any direction -- I'm going to spend all of tonight in the recliner with the heating pad. Other than trips to the bathroom and kitchen, of course.

The weatherwoman said we're having "minor snow" tomorrow, but her map shows 2-3" for my part of the state. That's not really minor, at least for me. I've been shoving my BP check & labs down from last Tuesday and it looks like they will get shoved down more.

The Parent 1 and Parent 2 in passports? Conservatives whined, so Clinton now has it "mother or parent 1" and "father or parent 2." I guess we all knew that dads were second-class parents.

The wife of a well-known political couple was killed today in her burning car. The best guess is that she hit something in the garage while she was backing out for an early appointment (and had to miss a car parked too close) and that started the fire, although they don't know how she died. Her husband got their three small children out while neighbors called 911.
