Another Junie Night

When I got offline yesterday, I just read the paper and went to bed to read. I turned the light off at 5am and had the alarm set for 1pm. Junie kept waking me up until about 10:30am, when I gave her the pill, and then I slept until 4pm. So I've had 5.5 hours of sleep and I hope to stay awake until the traditional sleep time so I'll be too sleepy for Junie to wake me up.

The next two days are in the 90s so I'll have to change my normal week schedule. I don't want to do groceries, 4 week labs, and taking out trash and recycling all on Wednesday, so I think that will be groceries and Thursday will be the other two.

Our regional postal chief is out after an assault on a subordinate. This doesn't say if he was fired or resigned, but he's definitely out. She had to call 911, so it's got to be a fairly big assault.

The Salahi's, those who crashed the first State Dinner and were close to trying the second, tried to get into a new club with the cover charge waived for VIPs. It didn't work at first, but eventually did; however, they didn't make it into the party for the Backstreet Boys.

South Carolina has a Democratic candidate for Senate who seems to be a bit too dull for that. He doesn't know a lot of things, like why he was discharged early from the military, and has trouble focusing. There's some thought that a lot of Republicans voted for him in the primary to get him against the Republican instead of the other Democratic candidate in the primary. Okay, there's a lot of unknown stuff here, but the WashPost interview included all his repeated words and poor language choices. They don't normally do this for interviews -- they clean up the extra language -- and I wonder why they didn't for him.
