Pitting Edema

My feet are now at +6 pitting edema, which is not a good thing. I'm going to ask my rheumatologist about it on Wednesday. Today I took a DVD to the post office and got labs taken. Lots of labs, because the nephrologist ordered more without telling me. Nine tubes and Michele only got six from one vein and had to stick another.

Then I had dinner (with coupon) at Uno's and while I planned for pizza, I ended up having short-rib sliders and skinless bake. While I was there, women started coming in with carnations. I was trying to figure out what was happening and then I saw little girls with carnations. On my way out, I saw a woman at a table with cards and pens and carnations. When I got outside, there was a pink Mary Kay Cadillac in the next handicapped spot.

It being rush hour, getting home took longer than usual, particularly when the woman behind me tapped the van. I didn't get out or anything, it certainly hadn't hurt the van, but I did look at her in the mirror and she looked shocked. When I got home, I checked the clusterbox and my check was there. I turned around and deposited it at the credit union. I had someone again who said I couldn't access it until Tuesday, and while I don't need it until after Tuesday, I don't want them to get in that habit. I explained I'd deposited these every month for years and she looked and agreed.

Last night Spirit was standing on my leg on the recliner and Junie came up and sniffed her butt, and Spirit just stayed there and didn't hiss. Later, Junie was playing with Mr. Gator at the end of the end table and when I told her she was a good girl to play, she looked at me and pulled Spirit's water bowl onto the floor. She got some minutes in the guest bathroom and I cleaned up.

And poor Loki -- he likes to sit on the other table by the computer and let me kiss his nose, but I'd forgotten I'd microwaved a "cajun style" meal last night. He backed off in terror when he smelled that. Later on in bed, though, he still wrapped his tail around my arm when I petted him.

I'm going to take a nap now. Back to read in a while.
