Doing More Than I Should

I took the trash and recycling out today -- quite a bit of cardboard recycling -- and then went into the Giant without a cart because I was just getting two Fish Oil bottles (they only had one on Monday, and they have them on BOGOF plus I had a coupon) and I almost fell by the time I got to the cashier. So. When you have the flu, the trash and recycling can wait, and I should use the cart as a walker even when I get just one thing.

I came home and read email and took care of bills and then napped in the recliner from 6:30pm to 3:20am, which is when Shiva woke me up because he disapproved of the condition of the litterbox.

I have an appointment at 3pm today with the psych and a second opinion with a neuro tomorrow at 5pm so I think I'm not going to do much else those days, even though I need to work on the BFAC website and put this year's challenge pictures up.

I think I probably can't stay awake long enough to sleep after the appointment, but I'm going to stay up a bit more and see.

Medication Changes

At least it wasn't raining today -- Spirit was sitting in the sun on the heating pad in the kitchen as I left for the psych appointment. I talked to him about losing my hair. It's not coming out in clumps like it did with the renal failures, and my renal labs and TSH were normal for me/normal a few weeks ago, so I think it's the Celexa. He said any antidepressant could cause that and I said I'd like to try something else and see. He suggested that we try just cutting down and see if I'm okay. I agreed to that, because I'm good at seeing when I hit danger and calling, but then he suggested that the Prozac that worked really well for me for 10 years before stopping might work again and I could take 10mg while we're decreasing the Celexa. We also talked about depression and the regular things. So I waited to pick up the Prozac and came home.

When I got home, I went out and put the birdfeeder back up and loaded the new seed into it and the metal container I keep it in. The birdfeeder was clean a few days ago and the seed arrived Tuesday, but there's no use in putting it back out in the rain and having to clean it again.

While I was checking in to Kaiser, there was a county deputy sheriff talking to the folks at the desk about a teenage girl who has disappeared. She's mentally ill and they've found her tracking bracelet, cut off, but are looking everywhere. She's afraid of authority and has hidden in dog houses before. As much as it would limit her, maybe it's time for her to go into care.

The neuro's assistant called and moved my appt to Tuesday because the doctor has an emergency tomorrow. Probably just as well that I don't go up there on Friday.

And the Chinese food -- large wonton soup included -- has arrived.

ETA: Never open Chinese mustard packets with a thumb that has a skin break.
