Doctors' Visits

I saw Narayanan so he could fill out the private disability form saying he'd seen me recently. I told him about this thing I'd discovered -- if I get sleepy and I eat, I stop being sleepy! He smiled and said that happens to lots of people -- the blood sugar gets low and when you eat, it brings the blood sugar back up. I never thought of that! I asked him to look at the radiologist's report of my popping knee and it's just more wear, more arthritis. And now my right thumb is popping. I can feel it pop every time when I put a finger on it, but I can hear the pop and feel it a lot more every few times I bend it. Probably more arthritis.

Then I saw the psych, who said I'm doing well on the Celexa, but I would have to convince Archutowska to take "dissociative episodes" off my chart myself. Hmph.

I hurt walking out of the center and I still needed to get gas, so I had lunch at Zabb instead of going to get groceries. I had Massaman Chicken Curry and they seemed worried that it might be too hot, but it was just a gentle buzz on the middle of the tongue. It was very good and I'll plan on getting groceries after Lucila comes tomorrow.

When I got home, I brought in the birdseed, and took it and the clean birdfeeder out to the porch. I filled the feeder partly with what was left in the seed container and partly with the new seed and then put the rest of the new seed into the container. The birds were very happy and Shiva has been making birdy noises since.

I'm washing cat blankies, such excitement.

Cowboy Bebop

This is an anime series set in the far future mostly in space, occasionally a visit to Earth. The culture is largely Asian. A group of bounty hunters get together and try to catch criminals, but have problems getting them and are always hungry, literally. Their stories, and those of a young girl and dog who join them, are violent but funny, rough but hip. There is an underlying story that follows all the way through -- love and death. The music is fabulous. The series comes to a proper end, which is unusual and very good. I highly recommend this series.
