A Busy Afternoon and Now a Nap

Spirit wouldn't eat the turkey breast, either, so I'll try coldcuts on Monday, but when I had lunch with Brenda Clough, she recommended meat baby food. She said her cat would eat that when he wouldn't eat anything else, so I'll get some of that, too. The microwaved turkey breast turned out very moist and flavorful, so I put a bit in the fridge, but the rest in the freezer in single portions for me.

I realized yesterday that Brenda and I had planned to meet at a mall on the first day of the Winter Shopping Holiday! Oh my! So I left half a hour early thinking I'd have to sit around waiting for a handicapped spot to clear and when I got there, one was open! I sat in the car for a bit because I didn't know if there were benches inside, but when I went in, there were, and room on one. I people-watched until Brenda came -- she'd had to park way out past the ring road -- and we had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. We both ordered lunch specials and they were still lots of food. Brenda took her soup home and I didn't eat most of the fries. Then we split a piece of pumpkin cheesecake. I showed and gave her the hair ornaments, wrapped up in tissue paper in a diskette box (nice bright red and will survive shipping) and she showed me the shawl she'd made for her daughter and we talked mostly about weddings we'd known. I had an unusually light drive home but all the sitting up and walking and standing is making me hurt enough that I'm going to take a nap now.
