03:43 pm: Strange Day
I finished up online early yesterday and considered that I might be able to go to bed early enough to get up and take the mixed paper to the transfer station and the boxes to Public Works today, but when I picked up the newspaper, the first story I read was about Bush's commuting Libby's sentence and I was sure the writer had stolen the words. So I read the first three paragraphs again and realized I couldn't make the words work together. Another brain seizure. I set the VCR to watch the 11pm news and napped in the recliner for four hours and when I woke up and turned on the light, I could make the words work together and they weren't stolen. The neurologist says these happen when I'm stressed and I expect to be stressed for the next couple of weeks.

By the time I finished the paper, it was 4:30am, so I loaded the mixed paper and boxes into the van and headed out for the transfer station. It was still dark when I got there and the overhead light by the dumpsters was out, but the van lights were on because the doors were open and that was enough. I went on to Public Works and there was a dumpster with the side door already open (the metal doors are really hard for me to open) and room inside for the giant box (from the stereo I gave away) that was full of other collapsed boxes. A police car showed up while I was doing it and I wondered if he was watching me, but then I realized he was using a code to open the gates that go into where they keep equipment and stuff. I stopped by McDonald's on the way home -- haven't had a sausage biscuit and orange juice in years -- and ate it when I got home and then went to bed.

I slept in the bed for about an hour but then a muscle started pulling and I was pretty sure I could take care of it in the recliner with vibration and not have to take more meds so I slept there for about three hours. The cats kept alternating trying to get under the covers and waking me up, so I went back to bed. Spirit, as usual, woke me up about four minutes before the alarm, which was set to 2pm.

I'm not going to write the neurologist about the brain seizure today because I'm getting a lab for the phenobarb level tomorrow and I'll just write her after. It's really humid today, so I'm going to wait until it's dusk to take an extra batch of trash up to the accessible dumpster. I was planning to wait to take trash out on Sunday, but there's too much already.
