03:53 pm: Virginia State Song
Virginia killed "Carry Me Back To Old Virginia" 10 years ago because of the mentions of darkies and such. There's been two tries to pick a new song and both have frozen. Queen Elizabeth is coming to Jamestown this spring to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the colony and they want to have a state song to sing for her. I vote they change all the references to black folk to brown folk and that will reflect the current bills in the legislature.

Virginia's Republican-controlled legislature has six bills limiting help and increasing police action for illegal immigrants. One bill has passed in the house.

Or we could start a new song titles "Yes, Prejudice, That's Virginia!"
