Bits of This and That

I don't remember the alarm beeping or turning it off, but I woke up two hours later than it was set and it was turned off. I headed off to Tony's (Greek salad and garlic bread with cheese -- brought most of the bread home) and when I started online at home, found that I have webmaster work for BFAC as we ramp up to auctions in March and April.

I also, out of a too-soft heart, offered to read a synopsis and chapters written by a well-known recently-dead comics fan and his son and sent off my crit yesterday. The son replied and is basically saying his dad is perfect and the plot is fine and everything is good. His dad had sent it out to a number of agents & publishers and didn't get a nibble, and I see why. I suggested Lulu since his dad has a lot of fans/friends who would buy via that and he's not sure. I think he really expected I would say it was wonderful and funnel it to a publisher. I'm sorry to break his expectations.

A big apartment house in Falls Church had an explosion today -- nobody hurt, which is good, but it was caused by someone trying to commit suicide via their natural gas oven. Only their apartment is a disaster, but many others have smoke and heat damage. People who kill themselves should be more careful.

I'm a lot colder this winter than other winters. My fingers aren't blue, though, so I don't think it's Sjogren's. I see the rheumatologist on the 23rd and she'll probably just tell me I'm cold.
