Black Heart, Ivory Bones edited by Ellen Datlow and Terri Windling

This is the last of the fairy-tales-retold books from Ellen & Terri and I'm sorry for that. I've always enjoyed these. All of these stories were good, but I liked two specifically:

1. "Snow in Summer" by Jane Yolen, which left me with the vision of a frying pan descending on my own Evil Stepmother's head.

2. "The Cats of San Martino" by Ellen Steiber where the protagonist spends some time with immortal cats.

Well recommended.
