I read this before and it was our bookgroup book today. On second reading, I could see some difficult spots, but I still got caught up in the story. The other women in the group plan to read the sequels*; the men will skip them.
*There are three sequels out now, one due 2/2008, and one 2009.
A subset of us had dinner at Tony's tonight, a noisy busy Italian restaurant and made some noise ourselves.
