03:43 pm: Reckoning Infinity by John Stith
This is our book group book for Saturday and I enjoyed rereading it. A scientist is badly injured in a station accident and receives many prostheses. Most people believe the accident was caused by a man and shun him. On their next missions, they inadvertently must work together. There's an object entering the Solar System, moving fast, endangering another station, and heading for the sun. They have to get inside and find out what it is. There's minute-to-minute excitement for the explorers, and I ended up reading it in three days instead of parceling it out over the week like I usually do for book group. Highly-recommended.

I tried to read this once. It was probably not the best book to take to the waiting room while waiting for someone to come out of surgery. I haven't picked it up again, but I probably should as I like the rest of the Stith I've read.

Oh, probably not, particularly when they describe the carnage from the accident. One of the strongest points for me is comparing myself to Alis. We both were seriously damaged through no action of our own, yet we reacted quite differently. People do that.
