06:02 pm: Another Brain Seizure
I had trouble typing and some trouble seeing yesterday afternoon and finally realized I needed to sleep for a while. I taped the Masters of Science Fiction show, which was nothing like the plot in the TV Week, and watched it today. Sam Waterston was really wonderful. I was beginning to think he didn't have a character other than DA in him, but he sure did in this. The story was good, but it was obvious where it was going. I haven't read the Kessel story, so I don't know if that's true there, too.

I woke up with a really swollen left eye today -- probably because I had trouble keeping from rubbing it. My upper eyelids are down over the lower eyelids -- more on the left than the right -- which happens when you get old and your skin gets less elastic. I suppose at some point I'll need to see the doctor and see about an eyelid lift -- Kaiser does these when you have trouble seeing otherwise.

I have things laid out for getting the van back tomorrow. The most important thing? Kitty litter. I was going to get it last Wednesday and now we're short enough that the cats are complaining.

I saw that TV show, too, and also thought that the story line was predictable. My guess is that it probably worked better in print, as Kessel's one of the better writers. I do like Judy Davis, and it was very nice to see Sam Watserston (as you said) in a non-DA role. He seemed grayer than usual, though that could just be because I haven't seen his L&O show in some time.

I think he's about that gray in L&O, too, although they may have grayed him up for the role.
